How much does it cost to open a door in Menorca?
Opening a slammed door with the keys inside costs 102.85 € incl. VAT plus the call-out fee, which is 24.20 € during normal hours. If the keys are lost it's 127.05 €, and a high-security door is 187.55 €. At night, at weekends or on bank holidays the call-out fee is higher: you can work out your exact case on this website.
How long do you take to arrive?
In most parts of Menorca I arrive in under 30 minutes. I live in Es Castell and cover the whole island, so in Mahón, Sant Lluís or Alaior I'm usually there very quickly, and Ciutadella or Ferreries take a little longer.
Do you work nights, weekends and bank holidays?
Yes, the service runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Between 7 pm and 7 am the emergency call-out fee applies (78.65 € incl. VAT), and Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays carry a 42.35 € surcharge.
Can you open the door without breaking the lock?
I always try to open without damaging anything, using non-destructive techniques, and on models that allow it I open through the peephole. The cylinder is only broken when it's jammed or there's no other way in, and then it's replaced with a new one.
Which towns in Menorca do you cover?
I work across the whole island: Es Castell, Mahón (Maó), Sant Lluís, Alaior, Es Mercadal, Es Migjorn Gran, Ferreries, Ciutadella and the coastal resorts.
Are parts included in the price?
No. The prices on this website are for labour, VAT included. Any cylinder, lock or hardware needed is charged separately, and I tell you the price before buying it.
Can I pay by card?
Yes, I take card and cash. Before I start I tell you what the job will cost.
Do you fit anti-squatter locks?
Yes. I check the weak points of the property and reinforce it with high-resistance locks, multipoint cylinders with patented keys, security escutcheons and extra deadbolts.
What should I do if I'm locked out of my house in Menorca?
