What's the difference between changing the cylinder and changing the lock?
The cylinder is the part the key goes into; changing it is quick and cheap and is enough when the problem is the keys. The lock is the whole mechanism; it's changed when it's broken, very old or you want a security system.
How much is a security cylinder?
Labour is 66.55 € incl. VAT. The cylinder itself, depending on brand and security level, is usually between 40 and 120 €. I tell you the exact price before buying it.
Can I have one key for several doors?
Yes. With master-keyed cylinders one key opens the house, storeroom and garage, and each door can also have its own key.
Can you do it the same day?
Usually yes. I carry cylinders in the common sizes in the van; if a special one is needed, I order it and fit it as soon as it arrives.
