How I work
How I reinforce your house
- I check the main door, secondary doors, windows and accessible shutters
- I tell you where someone would get in and what prevents it, without selling you what you don't need
- I fit a security cylinder, a security escutcheon and an extra deadbolt as required
- I adjust doors and shutters so they close properly
- I leave you a set of patented keys and, if you want, a key safe for the property manager's copy

Protects the cylinder so it can't be snapped or pulled from outside. Without an escutcheon, a security cylinder is broken in a minute.

Questions about this service
Does an anti-squatter lock prevent squatting?
It greatly reduces the risk. Most entries are through doors with a standard cylinder, which open in seconds. With a security cylinder, escutcheon and deadbolt, getting in takes noise, time and tools, and they usually give up.
Which is better, an anti-squatter lock or an alarm?
They complement each other. The lock stops them getting in; the alarm warns you if they try. If you can only have one, the lock, because it acts first.
Can I have it done even if I'm not on the island?
Yes. Many owners give me access through a property manager or a neighbour. I send you photos of the finished work and the invoice.
Do you fit security locks on old wooden doors?
Yes. There are cylinders, escutcheons and deadbolts for solid wooden doors, and they're fitted respecting the door.
